Fri. Esther 4:1-17 The Queen Decides to Help
In what ways have you shown your faith?
Mordecai was persuading Esther to help. When Mordeicai heard about what was happening, she was
walking down the street wailing. Hathak went to Mordecai and Mordecai told him everything that had happened. I have shown my faith by never doubting God. Always believing that with HIM there is a way.

Week 7/ Thursday
Thurs. Esther 3:1-5 The Jews in Danger
When are you tempted to compromise your faith?
Haman had a plan to destroy the Jews. Mordecai refused to pay honor to Haman. They asked Mordecai why was he disobeying the king. Mordecai told them that he was a Jew. When Haman saw that Mordecai would not kneel he was angry. I am tempted when I have to make hard decisions. Also, when I have to make a decision right away.

Queen Vashti was no longer queen, so they were on the search for a new one. He wanted every woman there. They even provided beauty treatments. They had seen Mordecai's daughter name Esther. So the new queen was now Esther. I experienced that if I don't try my best, I'll never get anywhere. I have to have faith in myself so I will make good grades and succed.

Queen Vashti was being exposed. Thiswas happening during the time of Xerxes. King Xerxes ruled over 170 provinces. King Xerxes called a banquet. For 180 days, he displayed the wealth of his kingdom. When it was over, he called his baquet which lasted for about 7 days. Queen Vashti had then called for a banquet, for all the women. The king then sent out a few people to go get Queen Vashti. Queen Vashti refused to come and the king got mad. Since she did not come they decided to tell all the women and she was was no longer Queen. I take the important people in my life for granted seldom. I think about what they have done for me, and what I would do without them.

Week 7/ Monday
Mon. Nehemiah 8:1-18 Reading God’s Word
What are your expectations when you open God’s Word?
Everyone had come together at the Water Gate. They had told Ezra to bring out the Book of Law. They brought it up and started to read it. Everyone was listening very attentively. Ezra was the teacher and he stood on a high wooden platform. Ezra was praising and everyone else responded by saying Amen...
When I open God's word, my expectations are to explore something new. I can read the same verses over and over, but then all of a sudden, I learn and explore something new.
