Week 7 Bible Reading (Dec 6-10)

Monday:Ruth 3:1-18 Ruth Finds a Husband:
Ruth's mother in law Naomi told her that she must find a home for her. She told her to wash, put on perfume, and get dressed in her best clothes. And told her to place the note where he is lying, then go uncover his feet and lie down. Then, he'll tell you what to do. That is what she did. He asked Who are you? She told him that she was his servant. She told Naomi everything Boaz did for her. God has giving me a good heart. I am very caring.

Tues. Ruth 4:1-22 A Happy Ending:
Boaz bought the property from Naomi and married Ruth. The elders told Boaz that may the Lord cause her to be like Rachael and Leah. In the future, obeying God can result into good things happening to you. You will receive God's blessings. You'll have a better chance of getting into heaven then disobeying God.

Wed. 1 Samuel 1:1-28 A Serious Prayer:

Hannah wanted to have children, and her husband's other wife, Peninnah, had children. Hannah was even teased by Peninnah. Hannah was really crying and asked the Lord to give her a son. Eli thought at first that she was drunk when she was praying. She was not because she was really burdened. He heard her and told her to go in peace because the God of Israel would give her a son. After she had her son, she gave him to the Lord.  She brought the son to Eli, her son Skamuel served the Lord under the direction of Eli. I promised God I will control my temper, and it has worked.

Thurs. 1 Samuel 3:1-21 God Calls Samuel:

Samuel was trying to learn the voice of God. Eli heard God tell him about how wicked Eli's sons were and how He would punish his family forever. Samuel had to go and tell Eli this. Eli accepted the message and said, "Let the Lord do what He thinks is best." I expect him to help me to open up to him.

Fri. 1 Samuel 8:1-5 Samuel’s Disappointing Sons:

Samuel's sons were not like he was. His sons accepted money for special favors and made thinks that were wrong appear to be right. The people told Samuel that his son did not live like he did, so Samuel must appoint them a king. Yes I am, I can learn to share and give, not so much recieve.

Week 6 Bible Reading (Nov 29 - Dec 3)

Monday:Judges 13:1-25:The Birth of Samson:
Samson visited his wife, bringing a kid along. Her father told him that he gave her to Samson's best man. Samson caught 300 foxes and turned them tail to tail. He kindled the torches and set the foxes loosie in the standing grain of the Philistines. Then, he burned the shocks and the standing grain, including the vineyards and olive orchards. Philistines asked who did it and people told him Samson the son-in-law of the Timnite, because his wife was taken and given to his best man. Philistines them went and destroyed her and her family by fire. Samson said, "I will not stop until I have taken revenge on you." The Philistines wanted to take Samson as a prisoner. Samson did not want them to kill him themselves. They bound him up with 2 new ropes and brought him up from the cliff. The ropes became as flax and they melted away from his hands. He had killed 1,000 men. Samson judged Israel for 20 years in the days of the Philistines. When you lie before thinking, that cant be corrected.
Tuesday:Judges 16:1-21: Samson and Delila
Deliah convinced Samson to tell her his weakness. I flirt with disaster when I tell a lie or maybe gossip. That is sinning, and that's what the devil wants you to do. Gossiping can cause other people to go back and tell the other person and causing a disaster. I'd rather follow God's way and will then cause disaster.

Wednesday: Judges 16:22-31 Samson’s Death
Samson pushed the temple down on all the rulers and all the people in it. He killed many more people when he died, than when he lived. He was buried between Zorah and Eshtaolin the tomb of Manoah his father. He had led Isreal for 20yrs. I understand God is very patient. We sin alot and we don't do what God asks of us and still he loves us. He tried to grow us closer to him, he has the most patience that anyone could ever have.

Thursday:Ruth1:1-22 Ruth and Naomi –A Friendship
Naomi traveled to Moab along with her husband and children. Her husband died and her sons got married. Her sons died and her two daughter in laws were along with her, Oprah and Ruth. She told them to go home. Ruth didn't leave she stayed with her. Difficulties affect my relationship because I become stronger with my friends, because we go through thigs, which strengthens our relationship.

Fri. Ruth 2:1-23 Ruth Meets BoazNaomi saw how much barley and wheat that Ruth harvested, and she told her blessed be the man who took notice of you. My reputation is an advantage, because people know me for being smart and not anything bad. Also, for being funny. There are not too good reptation out there.

Week 5 Bible Reading (Nov 15-19)

Monday:Judges 4:4-24: Judge Deborah:
Deborah was leading Israel. Israelites wants their disputes decided. 10,000 men went up to Mount Tabor under God's command,(also Deborah). All Sisera;s troops fell;(not a man left standing.) Sisera fled on foot to the tent of Hael. Barak came by in pursuit of Sisera, and Jael went to meet him. She showed them where he was. Sisera lay with the tent peg through his temple dead. Israelites pressed harder and harder against Jobin king of Canaan until they destroyed him. People know I care about them when I make them feel better. I give them praise, when they do something right; encouragement; I tell them; and build them up when they are down.

Tuesday: Judges 6:1-40: Gideon Becomes a Judge
God told Gideon he would save Israel. Gideon constantly asked for signs. Israelites got angry at Gideon when he tore down the altar of Baal and replaced it with the altar of God. Gideon gave a sacrifice to the Lord and did what the Lord commanded. When people tell me to do something, I do it the first time they asked me to do it. I follow God's will and his word. When making decisions, I think, "What would Jesus do?", most times I do the Godly thing, which shows obedience to God, others, and myself.

Wednesday:Judges 7:1-25:Gideon and the Midianites
Gideon felt like he couldn't beat the Midianites. He went back to camp and heard what the people said. Which encouraged him. He only needed to trust God. I need to trust god more with my friends. I want to do what they do, & I have to trust in God that not doing that is the right thing to do.

Thursday:Judges 13: 1-25: The Birth of Samson:
The Isrealites made God mad. An angel came to a lady who was unable to give birth. The angel told her she would have a son. Also he told her don't drink any wine. I need more discipline in every part of my life. No one is perfect, and I am most definitely not. I need more discipline so I can be a better person. Also, be more respectful and become a better and stronger Christian.

Friday:Judges 14:1-20Samson’s Riddle
Samson wanted to marry a Philisten girl. He killed a baby lion with his hands. Samson gave his wife to one of his companions. I consider the wisdom of my parents very careful. They have the ability to judge correctly and follow the best action.

Week 4: Bible Week 4 (Nov 8-12)

Monday: The Battle of Jericho: Joshua 5: 13- 6: 27 Joshua met a man and he was teh commander of the army of the Lord he told Joshua to take off his sandals becasue where he was standing was Holy. God them to march around the city for 6days, on the 7th day, march around the city 7times. When you hear the the priests sound a long blast on the trumpets, the army shall give a loud shout and the wall of the city will collapse and teh army will go up. They did just that and took city.  They devoted the city adn destroyed everything and everyone. They took Rebah and her family and placed them in a place outside the camp of Israel. They burned the whole city and everything in it. The Lord was with Joshua and his fame spreaded through the land.

Tuesday: Ultimate Consequences: Joshua 7:1-26 The Israelites were unfaithful and Lord's anger burned against Isreal. Joshua is telling some men to go any spy out Ali. He reported that they only needed 2 or 3 thousand soldiers b/c only a few people live there. So about 3 thousand went up, the men of Ali killed about 36 of them. They chased teh Isrealites from the city gate as far as teh stone quarries and stuck them down on teh slopes. Joshua said the Canaanites and other people of the counrty would hear about this a surround them and wipe their name from earth. Isreal had sinned so they got punnishes. Nesxt morning, Joshua had Isreal coem forward by tribes. All of Isreal stoned Achan and burned them. I have experienced a negaitve experience when I had to go on a new basketball team.

Wesnesday: The Longest Day: Joshua 10:1-15 Joshua asked God to make the sun stay still. God listened to him and God had never done that for any other human. God is so powerful. We'll never know what God is capable of because our human nature cant understand it. I know God is powerful, He does wonderful things everyday to people and for people.

Thursday: Joshua Warns the Leaders: Joshua 23: 1-16God had given rest to the Israelites and Joshua was old. Joshua was telling the Isrealites everything that God had done for them and he told them God was there since the beginning. Joshua told the Isrealties to be strong. I need to obey being strong. The devil can temp us to do bad things, but if you be strong and trust in the Lord, everything will be okay and work out. I try to be strong all the time because I know God has a purpose for me, and it's not being a slave to sin. If I be strong, I know I will have a great reward in the end.

Friday: Joshua's Last Words: Joshua 24: 1- 31:Joshua gathered the tribes of Isreal. Joshua told them about all God has done for them. Ho told them to love the Lord and get rid of the false gods. They decied they would worship the Lord. After Joshua talked to them, he died at 110 years old. You can look at the outcome of obeying God and decide if it was good or bad, and deiced what outcome you want.
