Week 7 Bible Reading (Dec 6-10)

Monday:Ruth 3:1-18 Ruth Finds a Husband:
Ruth's mother in law Naomi told her that she must find a home for her. She told her to wash, put on perfume, and get dressed in her best clothes. And told her to place the note where he is lying, then go uncover his feet and lie down. Then, he'll tell you what to do. That is what she did. He asked Who are you? She told him that she was his servant. She told Naomi everything Boaz did for her. God has giving me a good heart. I am very caring.

Tues. Ruth 4:1-22 A Happy Ending:
Boaz bought the property from Naomi and married Ruth. The elders told Boaz that may the Lord cause her to be like Rachael and Leah. In the future, obeying God can result into good things happening to you. You will receive God's blessings. You'll have a better chance of getting into heaven then disobeying God.

Wed. 1 Samuel 1:1-28 A Serious Prayer:

Hannah wanted to have children, and her husband's other wife, Peninnah, had children. Hannah was even teased by Peninnah. Hannah was really crying and asked the Lord to give her a son. Eli thought at first that she was drunk when she was praying. She was not because she was really burdened. He heard her and told her to go in peace because the God of Israel would give her a son. After she had her son, she gave him to the Lord.  She brought the son to Eli, her son Skamuel served the Lord under the direction of Eli. I promised God I will control my temper, and it has worked.

Thurs. 1 Samuel 3:1-21 God Calls Samuel:

Samuel was trying to learn the voice of God. Eli heard God tell him about how wicked Eli's sons were and how He would punish his family forever. Samuel had to go and tell Eli this. Eli accepted the message and said, "Let the Lord do what He thinks is best." I expect him to help me to open up to him.

Fri. 1 Samuel 8:1-5 Samuel’s Disappointing Sons:

Samuel's sons were not like he was. His sons accepted money for special favors and made thinks that were wrong appear to be right. The people told Samuel that his son did not live like he did, so Samuel must appoint them a king. Yes I am, I can learn to share and give, not so much recieve.

Week 6 Bible Reading (Nov 29 - Dec 3)

Monday:Judges 13:1-25:The Birth of Samson:
Samson visited his wife, bringing a kid along. Her father told him that he gave her to Samson's best man. Samson caught 300 foxes and turned them tail to tail. He kindled the torches and set the foxes loosie in the standing grain of the Philistines. Then, he burned the shocks and the standing grain, including the vineyards and olive orchards. Philistines asked who did it and people told him Samson the son-in-law of the Timnite, because his wife was taken and given to his best man. Philistines them went and destroyed her and her family by fire. Samson said, "I will not stop until I have taken revenge on you." The Philistines wanted to take Samson as a prisoner. Samson did not want them to kill him themselves. They bound him up with 2 new ropes and brought him up from the cliff. The ropes became as flax and they melted away from his hands. He had killed 1,000 men. Samson judged Israel for 20 years in the days of the Philistines. When you lie before thinking, that cant be corrected.
Tuesday:Judges 16:1-21: Samson and Delila
Deliah convinced Samson to tell her his weakness. I flirt with disaster when I tell a lie or maybe gossip. That is sinning, and that's what the devil wants you to do. Gossiping can cause other people to go back and tell the other person and causing a disaster. I'd rather follow God's way and will then cause disaster.

Wednesday: Judges 16:22-31 Samson’s Death
Samson pushed the temple down on all the rulers and all the people in it. He killed many more people when he died, than when he lived. He was buried between Zorah and Eshtaolin the tomb of Manoah his father. He had led Isreal for 20yrs. I understand God is very patient. We sin alot and we don't do what God asks of us and still he loves us. He tried to grow us closer to him, he has the most patience that anyone could ever have.

Thursday:Ruth1:1-22 Ruth and Naomi –A Friendship
Naomi traveled to Moab along with her husband and children. Her husband died and her sons got married. Her sons died and her two daughter in laws were along with her, Oprah and Ruth. She told them to go home. Ruth didn't leave she stayed with her. Difficulties affect my relationship because I become stronger with my friends, because we go through thigs, which strengthens our relationship.

Fri. Ruth 2:1-23 Ruth Meets BoazNaomi saw how much barley and wheat that Ruth harvested, and she told her blessed be the man who took notice of you. My reputation is an advantage, because people know me for being smart and not anything bad. Also, for being funny. There are not too good reptation out there.
